The Great Barrier Reef
Seventh Wonder of the World
The Great Barrier Reef makes up about 10 per cent of the world’s coral reef ecosystems, and is one of the best known and most complex natural systems on Earth.
To understand the scope and magnitude of the Great Barrier Reef along the eastern shores of Queensland, Australia, one needs to imagine a delicate ecosystem made up of billions of microorganisms that stretches more than 1,400 miles (2,253 kilometers) – approximately the entire length of the western coast of the United States, from Seattle to San Diego.
The Great Barrier Reef is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the natural world, alongside the likes of Mount Everest and the Grand Canyon, and it is the largest coral reef system on earth. Fabricated of billions of microscopic coral polyps of over 400 different types of coral, the Great Barrier Reef is comprised of 3,000 individual reefs and features nearly 1,000 islands.
Today the Reef is a Marine Park and World Heritage Area, supporting a range of commercial activities and attracting millions of visitors each year who come to enjoy its beauty above and below the water.
“I fish to scratch the surface of those mysteries, for nearness to the beautiful, and to reassure myself the world remains. I fish to wash off some of my grief for the peace we so squander. I fish to dip into that great and awesome pool of power that propels these epic migrations. I fish to feel – and steal – a little of that energy.“ Carl Safina...

"Be an unsinkable ship.' Basically, making yourself seaworthy is easier than trying to control the sea". - Allie Brosh...
TAKING FISH FOR CONSUMPTION
Every person has the right to be able to harvest food to consume or their family to consume.
We firmly support that right, however we are not a charter that has a ‘BAGGING OUT MANTALITY”..
We fish smaller, fragile areas which we mindfully farm throughout each fishing experience, ensuring each spot is carefully managed to promote sustainability.
We predominately target trophy fish & each fish is euthanised using the IKEJIME for first class eating quality.
QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY!
In years gone by, we would just take, take, take from the oceans but today we realize this is not an option, that the oceans keep us alive, and that we need to tread more carefully. This is now both a governance issue and a choice issue. — Sylvia A. Earle

MEMORIES NEVER FORGOTTEN
Our guides pride themselves on taking the highest quality photos ensuring there is not a memorable moment not captured, because lets face it the photo is what makes the capture special.
All of our photos are taken on the latest iPhone 13, are of high quality and will be forwarded to you after the completion of your day for you to freely brag to your friends and family.
That means all you have to do is fish! Our social media is a great marketing platform for us, so our guides will request your consent prior to posting images or videos.
